How does a digital signature works?
The digital signature is a digital method of ensuring the correctness of the identity of people by saving time and cost to a great extent. The digital signature method uses public-key cryptography. This method is also known as asymmetric cryptography. Using the public key encryption algorithm, one can generate two keys which are known as the public key and private key. The digital signature works with the help of these two mutually authenticated keys. Here the person who is creating the digital signature uses the private key to encrypt the document which is to be signed and this document can only be decrypted using the public key of the signer. This way is used to do the authentication of digital signatures . The digital signature method makes all the parties believe that the created digital signature by the individual is kept secret and does not make the fraudulent mechanisms by the private key holder. A one-way hash of digital data to be signed is generated when one tries
